The Wine and Spirit Education Trust

The Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) was founded in 1969 to provide high quality education and training in wines and spirits. Since then, WSET has grown into the foremost international body in the field of wines and spirits education, with a suite of sought-after qualifications. We now even have a membership body - the Institute of Wines & Spirits - for those who have passed the WSET Diploma, our top qualification.

The WSET works through a network of Approved Program Providers around the world, The Wine House being one. The Wine House is rigorously checked to ensure that we deliver the high standard of teaching required to enable students to pass their WSET qualification.

The Trust, backed up by some of the most prestigious wines and spirits organizations, has got an unparalleled track record spanning 40 years in the design and delivery of wine and spirit education.

The WSET is available in: 9 Languages: English, Dutch, Finnish, German, Greek, Japanese, Korean & Spanish.

50 Countries: from Vancouver to Auckland via the USA, the Caribbean, Scandinavia, Europe, the Middle East, the Far East and Australia.

In the Academic year 2008/2009 the WSET had 26,000 Candidates take one of the exams and in the USA alone we had 3000 students!
