The Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) was founded in 1969 to provide high quality education and training in wines and spirits. Since then, WSET has grown into the foremost international body in the field of wines and spirits education, with a suite of sought-after qualifications. We now even have a membership body – the Institute of Wines & Spirits – for those who have passed the WSET Diploma, our top qualification.

The WSET works through a network of Approved Program Providers around the world, The Wine House being one. The Wine House is rigorously checked to ensure that we deliver the high standard of teaching required to enable students to pass their WSET qualifications.

The Trust, backed up by the most prestigious wines and spirits organizations, has got an unparalleled track record spanning 50 years in the design and delivery of wine and spirit education.

The WSET is available in: 17 Languages: English, Chinese, Spanish, Dutch, Finnish, German, Greek, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, French, and Hungarian among others. Available in 62 Countries: from Vancouver to Auckland via the USA, the Caribbean, Scandinavia, Europe, the Middle East, China and the Far East, and Australia. A total of 550 Approved Program Providers all over the world.

In the Academic year 2014/2015 the WSET had 50,000 candidates take one of the exams and in the USA alone we had 14,000 students! We remain the largest – and leading – wine educator in the world.
